At Eye Candy Pigments, we’re honored to showcase this month's featured artist—Ana Hefco - a self-taught dreamer, artist, and beauty curator. She describes her journey as both a ritual and a calling. Her process begins with the careful setup: arranging her workspace, preparing materials, and selecting music to inspire her as she works with resin—a medium she describes as having a “mind of its own.” This dance of control and release is what allows her artistry to flourish, creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces that are as unpredictable as they are beautiful.

She explains that “the resin has a mind of its own,” and each pour is filled with anticipation and wonder. She finds beauty in the unpredictable flow of resin—much like a butterfly unfolding its wings—creating intricate, natural patterns that reflect her love for nature’s colors and textures. Through her art, she strives to evoke “warmth, solace, calm, and inner peace,” immersing viewers in scenes reminiscent of warm oceans and sunlit beaches.

Her inspirations come from the places she loves, whether it’s a memory of sailing the Mediterranean or imagining the turquoise waters of a distant beach. This connection to nature and place allows her to capture the essence of distant shores, wrapping each piece with emotions and sensations she wants her audience to experience.
