This is the most frequently question asked and rightfully so!! Unfortunately there's no standard calculation when mixing pigments due to the numerous applications, and mediums that our pigments can be used with. I.E. Automotive, Epoxy, Resin, Slime, Candles, Soaps, Fishing Lures, Woodworking, Pen Blanks, Acrylic, Varnish, Clay, Grout, Flooring, Countertops, Cosmetics, Fingernail Polish, etc. the list goes on.
Other factors are based on the customer. What is the desired look that you're trying to achieve, opaque or transparency?
Our standard for epoxy resin or automotive has been (1) container of our 50 gram pigment powder for every gallon. But, we have seen customers use MUCH less!!
Starting out with 1g of pigment per 8 oz would be a safe start while adding more pigment as needed to achieve your desired outcome.

It's a great variety of colors to get a sample for which gold you want. But being a little plastic bags is ultimately going to be a huge mess trying to store and contain these, measure out and use. Small plastic containers are not that much more expensive and adding another couple dollars onto my sample order and order to have something storeable usable would be more worth it. In their pouch for form im afraid they're just going to settle into the back of my color collection.
We truly appreciate your honest assessment about the sample packs. We completely understand your concerns regarding the small bags and have actually gone back and forth on this topic for several years now. Switching to small plastic containers would unfortunately incur additional costs, which would have to be passed on to the consumer.
