CALCULATIONS FOR MIXING OF OUR PIGMENTS
This is the most frequently question asked and rightfully so!! Unfortunately there's no standard calculation when mixing pigments due to the numerous applications, and mediums that our pigments can be used with. I.E. Automotive, Epoxy, Resin, Slime, Candles, Soaps, Fishing Lures, Woodworking, Pen Blanks, Acrylic, Varnish, Clay, Grout, Flooring, Countertops, Cosmetics, Fingernail Polish, etc. the list goes on.
Other factors are based on the customer. What is the desired look that you're trying to achieve, opaque or transparency?
Our standard for epoxy resin or automotive has been (1) container of our 50 gram pigment powder for every gallon. But, we have seen customers use MUCH less!!
Starting out with 1g of pigment per 8 oz would be a safe start while adding more pigment as needed to achieve your desired outcome.

It is impossible to tell the true color of a pigment just by looking at it in a package . Being able to buy a sample pack of bronze and copper was the solution. While some may look similar, the mica particles were different sizes and therefore interacted with both resin and acrylic paint differently. The only problem I had was choosing which one to use! In the end, I liked them all enough to buy them in 50g containers 💖

I kind of wish I would've started with buying the samplers. I've been purchasing from Eye Candy Pigments for awhile but I always buy the colors I need at the time. I decided to start building an ECP color sample wall so I purchased this sampler to start the process. These colors are AMAZING. I never thought I would need a bronze or a copper in my work, but OH MY GOSH, these are STUNNING. Having these different colors has allowed me to expand my own creativity. If you're debating on buying this sampler, I hope this review helps because it is truly gorgeous.
